Glenn Sterkenburg Retired motor mechanic I don't go anywhere else for my parts and supplies, I run a super street drag car , two modified old holdens ,all have performance Chevrolet engines, plus two street day to day cars. The staff at Bunbury auto one are excellent, friendly and well trained .I have had such good service from the team there every time and great pricing on all their products. The staff go the extra mile for me Thank you Todd and his team at Bunbury Auto One
They sell good products, and good service. I had minor issue. I had ordered two Dayco belts on Monday, they sms on Thursday for pick up. Went there and find out that only 1 belt arrived. Came back on Friday to pick up the two belts.
i was going to get a car but i got a pet and i like pets but this one was dead so win win
Staff are only too happy to help you get the most value for money. I had a gift card and they reduced the price of one item so I wouldn't have to pay anything out of pocket.
After many bad experiences shopping here I considered Auto One Bunbury as a place of last resort. From now on I'll go without rather than set foot there again. Top prices for sub standard parts and that's if you're lucky enough for them to have the stock you need in the first place.A few examples:A set of four disc brake rotors and pads, paid top dollar and after a few months had to replace the pads with good Bendix units as braking was very poor and the squealing was driving us all nuts. A few months after that had to replace all the disc rotors as well, as the braking performance was still dangerously poor. Brakes are excellent and silent now with parts bought from another retailer.Water pump that only lasted 7 months before leaking and they wouldn't have a bar of it.Windscreen wipers (not cheap ones) that smeared and squealed from installation, took them back and was refused a refund only to be told it probably isn't a good idea buying that brand again.Issues with either bad catalogue entries or wrong picking - numerous common Holden parts like spark plugs and hoses I've had to return as they were wrong when I got home. A radiator cap was incorrect 3 times and the third one over-pressured the system and blew the radiator out.Final straw was a set of 3 vee belts in which one was wrong. Very inconvenient when the vehicle isn't mobile but it happens, so phoned ahead for them to have the correct one ready for wife to pick up after work, she waits 12 minutes while someone stood there on the phone, gets charged an over the top amount for a belt (fair enough until I bring the other one back) but they refused to refund that same amount when I did return it, only the portion from the package price. If hanging on to a few bucks makes you think that you're running a good business by increasing your bottom line, then just consider what an irate (ex) customer with a big voice can do to it.A side note to reviewer DAVID BROCKMAN: Personal interest in this review much? Only one google review contribution and it was directed at me? As a mechanic in Bunbury I'd be very careful in considering who has the big mouth here. Interfering in others' reviews the way you have is very poor form and can easily come back to bite you. I mentioned no specific names, only my experience of this business in general.I speak from personal experience over a number of occasions over many years and not just a one off. If I pay top dollar, (read - NOT CHEAP) for brake components, I do NOT expect to be supplied with cheap, ineffective, dangerous components and have to "REQUEST" quality items. So NO, I didn't get what I paid for. I do not need to get over myself and fully appreciate mistakes can be made, but the way this business conducted itself after mistakes were made justifies my review. You may have had better experiences with corrections to mistakes made due to your volume of purchasing as a mechanic, but this is MY EXPERIENCE, keep to your own. I do not rate any of the automotive retailers in Bunbury, but this review is specifically for Auto One.
