Just paid almost $500 for my problem to be diagnosed...not fixed....just for them to tell me what was wrong with my car. Communication of costs to be incurred was dismal if not non existent. Apparently I was expected to know what all the technical jargon was. Liaised with the owner to express my disappointment in a professional manner, and his final email communication to me was both arrogant and dismissive. He seems to think that this is a reasonable and acceptable cost and his last email ended in "Please accept this as my final correspondence in this matter." I support local business where I can so I am not advising people to not use Bunbury Automotive. I am though highly recommending that you request a complete dollar breakdown of any work to be performed on your vehicle prior to them commencing, so you are not as shocked and out of pocket as I am.TERRY I'VE JUST NOTICED YOUR RESPONSE BELOW, AND AS MUCH AS I'D LIKE TO IGNORE IT I CAN'T.YOU "NEVER" OFFERED TO ORDER AND FIT A NEW PART TO RECTIFY THE PROBLEM. YOU ADVISED ME TO TAKE MY $500 DIAGNOSTIC PIECE OF PAPER TO AUTO CLASSIC IN PERTH.SINCE WHEN IS '"ONE" PHONE CALL WITH NO ESTIMATE OF TOTAL COST CONSIDERED "NUMEROUS AND AT EVERY STEP?"ONE PREVIOUS LOCAL MECHANIC LOOKED AT IT (NOT TWO). THIS COMPANY IS NOT A BMW SPECIALIST AND THEY ALSO DIDN'T CHARGE ME A CENT.
Took my car in, explained in detail how the car was behaving to the mechanic he told me nothing showed up on the diagnostic to explain the fault I was experiencing. charged me $255 for the hook up and because the fault did not show on the diagnostic he didn't seem interested to investigate further. Went up the road to a hands on mechanic. Fixed.
To describe Bunbury Automotive accurately is rather a difficult feat in itself!I've been taking my beast to them for approximately six years, and gladly so! The wonderful ladies who always greet you with a smile as well as being extremely pleasant to converse with over the phone, either for asking to book me car in or just a quote for a needed repair. Those ladies really make the first impression of the business in terms of product knowledge & professionalism.As for the work on my little beast of a car, i couldn't/cannot fault the work carried out by mechanic's! Luke (Head Mechanic) has been straight down the line honest with upgrades & modifications. Whatever i want to install on my car (Tuff Dog suspension with king springs) Luke is the first person I'd ask for an honest opinion! Hat's off to you Terry (Owner) you run a fine business and i will continue to refer as many of my fellow motorists to you as possible!
A genuine family run business by people who care. First class service and work every time. I have been bringing my car here for many years and have never been disappointed. They always go above and beyond. Good to know there are operators out there that care so much for their customers. Keep it up guys.
